Second International
$1000 Hunted Youtube Contest

THE HUNTED is a sword-slinging, vampire-slaying internet series that's a cross between "Buffy" and "Cops", and now we're inviting you to create your own episode and win $1000!

Our goal is to create the first internet series based almost entirely on user content. The episodes are 6-8 minutes long and shot no-budget reality-TV style with any home video camera. Never shot anything before? Well neither had the winners of the last contest. Check out what they had to say at http://thehuntedtv.blogspot.com/2009/11/winners-of-first-1000-hunted-youtube.html

In addition to $2300 in cash and prizes, the contest is judged by a panel of Hollywood professionals - Directors, Writers, Producers, Stunt Coordinators, Agents, etc. For a complete listing, check out: http://thehuntedtv.blogspot.com/2010/02/second-1000-youtube-judges-announced.html

There's no cost to enter and you keep all rights to your video, so what have you got to lose? If you're not sure where to start, check out our tips page at http://www.thehunted.tv/tips.htm or drop us a line at contest@thehunted.tv  If you need help shooting an episode or you'd like to offer your services, check our our group bulletin board at: http://www.thehunted.tv/phpbb/index.php

By submitting an entry, each entrant agrees to the Official Rules and warrants that his or her entry complies with all requirements set out in the Official Rules. CONTEST IS VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.  Not sure why the contest would be prohibited anywhere and my advice would be to leave wherever it is you're not allowed to shoot a Hunted episode.

If you are not registered with Youtube, you will be required to create a free user account at http://www.youtube.com/signup. Registration on YouTube must be completed before the video can be submitted to the group page. Once registered with YouTube, upload the video to your own personal channel and then add the video to the group page.

The Hunted and/or organizers of this contest will not be held responsible in any way should the entrant fail to post his or her video properly or have their video removed from Youtube. Videos must comply with policies and community guidelines of YouTube.com.  This means no copywritten music or other content that can be considered copyright infringement, and while harsh language and violence are an inherit part of the series, profanity is bleeped and depicted violence is not overly graphic.  However, note that the "dark knight" scene from Monty Python and the Holy Grail seems to exist happily on Youtube.
